Transpulse

Transpulse, also known sometimes as Longpulse, is the primary method of long-distance wireless communication. It has near-enough unlimited range, but messages are very low bandwidth; no more than perhaps a dozen alphanumeric characters per second. As such, Transpulse is used for writing formal messages, as it cannot carry a soundwave or other data. On the other hand, it is unaffected by the rampant electromagnetic noise of Azimuth's atmosphere.

The messages are transmitted using neutrinos. While this allows them to bypass almost all interference, the difficulty of capturing neutrinos results in a very large data redundancy, thereby reducing the effective data bandwidth.

The technology was pioneered by the Maroni and is often associated with them.
