Nezzu Strait

The Nezzu Strait is a jetstream that bisects the Nezzu region in a line running roughly east to west. Historically, it lies between Ganzabar and Great Brazak; although part of the latter is now a part of the former. Nevertheless it has a symbolic presence in forming the division between the northern and southern spheres in the eastern region of the world. It is the location of several military bases, both Ganzabi and Brazakker; although the majority in between forms the Junders Neutral Zone which neither is permitted (by the terms of the Junders Treaty) to trespass.

Despite the high driftwind, the Nezzu Strait was once populated with hardy independent settlements known as the River Cities. By the 9200s, all of these had either relocated, been absorbed, or were completely destroyed.
